96 years old Dr Henry Heimlich invented a movement for taking away objects in the airways. Over 40 years ago he invented this technique and published it in a medical magazine. After this publication he gained his fame and have trained single handed thousands of persons in this lifesaving technique. Today he lives in a nursing home in Deupree House Cincinnati.
This week had to use the techniques for the first time when another patient with the name Patti Ris (87 years) stated to choke. Dr Heimlich jumped up from his chair and did his famous Heimlich FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE! Just think about it. This man is world-famous for something he have never tried in real life, and in the age of 96 years he finally got to try it!
